Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are actually open and may close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house by using a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic cash flow doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined click here R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in my nsfas South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
